Zambia is one of the largest countries in the African continent which did not have renal transplant facilities before 2018.
The first-ever kidney transplant in Zambia was performed at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka in October 2018 on their Independence Day.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Government of Zambia, Noor Healthcares successfully established the nation’s first renal transplantation program in 2018.
This historic initiative marked a major advancement in Zambia’s healthcare sector, providing patients access to life-saving renal transplant services within the country for the first time.
Through this partnership, Noor Healthcares contributed clinical expertise, training, and operational guidance, supporting the Ministry of Health in building a sustainable, high-standard transplantation program aligned with international medical protocols.
